Regulations to Pradhana Acharya

These regulations are intended to define the unique role and responsibilities of the Pradhana Aacharya within the Kanakaavati Kshetra Kaalachakra Foundation. They recognize the Pradhana Aacharya's spiritual authority while ensuring the smooth functioning of the Foundation's governance structure.

Role and Authority

  • The Pradhana Aacharya is the spiritual and administrative head of the foundation, holding supreme authority in all spiritual, ritualistic, and decision-making matters.
  • He shall oversee the teachings of Vedas, Jyotishya Shastra (Astrology), Vaastu Shastra, Yoga Saadhna, Mantra Saadhna, Tantra, and Agama Shastra.
  • All significant rituals, events, temple constructions, spiritual teachings, and governance decisions shall require his guidance and final approval.
  • The Pradhana Aacharya is responsible for ensuring the preservation and propagation of Sanatana Dharma through disciplined teachings and strict adherence to spiritual principles.
  • He shall be the chief authority in conducting all temple consecrations, Yagnas, and Mahotsavas.

Spiritual Conduct and Discipline

  • Daily Sadhana & Personal Practices

  • The Pradhana Aacharya must dedicate a minimum of 8 hours daily to meditation (Dhyana), mantra japa, spiritual sadhana, and yogic practices.

  • He must perform daily Rudra Abhishekam and other prescribed Shaivite rituals to uphold his devotion to Lord Shiva.

  • His lifestyle must be in complete alignment with yogic and ascetic principles, maintaining a life of austerity, celibacy, and detachment from material possessions.

  • He should practice Mouna Vratha (silence) for a specific duration each day to deepen his spiritual wisdom.

Fasting & Dietary Regulations

  • The Pradhana Aacharya must follow a strict satvik diet, consuming one meal a day, preferably before sunset.
  • Consumption of onion, garlic, meat, intoxicants (alcohol, tobacco, caffeine), and processed foods is strictly prohibited.
  • He should only accept food prepared by his Dharmapatni, Brahmacharis, Sanyasis, or temple devotees, ensuring purity and adherence to Ahimsa (non-violence) principles.

Dress Code & Appearance

The Pradhana Aacharya shall always wear traditional Yogi attire, including:

  • Preferably saffron or any colour dhoti (Madi Vastram) without stitched garments.
  • A Rudraksha mala as a symbol of his Shiva Bhakti.
  • Sacred Vibhuti (holy ash) smeared on the forehead, arms, and chest.
  • No footwear while inside temple premises. He must maintain unshorn hair and beard, symbolizing renunciation, and spiritual energy preservation.

     

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Spiritual Leadership
  • Conduct daily Vedic discourses, mantra chanting, and yoga sessions for devotees, disciples, and students.
  • Guide and mentor Brahmacharis, priests, and spiritual seekers in attaining higher knowledge.
  • Ensure that temple rituals, poojas, and yagnas are performed with absolute precision according to Shastra Vidhi.
  • Resolve spiritual and theological doubts of devotees, trustees, and disciples.

Temple & Event Supervision

  • Oversee the construction, Vaastu alignment, and energy sanctification of the 247 temples.
  • Conduct Yagnas (fire sacrifices), Kumbhabhishekam, and Maha Poojas on important occasions.
  • Approve all spiritual events, religious celebrations, and temple activities.
  • Assign specific duties to priests, scholars, and volunteers for smooth temple functioning.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • While the Pradhana Aacharya shall not directly handle financial matters, he holds the authority to approve or reject fund utilization for religious and spiritual purposes.
  • He shall guide the Board of Trustees on ethical financial management, ensuring that donations are used only for dharmic activities.
  • The Pradhana Aacharya shall oversee land usage, temple resource allocation, and expenditure for all religious projects.

Code of Conduct

  • Ethical and Moral Standards
  • The Pradhana Aacharya must maintain absolute purity, truthfulness, and humility in speech, thought, and actions.
  • He must practice Ahimsa (non-violence), truthfulness, self-discipline, and contentment always.
  • He should refrain from material attachments, personal wealth accumulation, or personal property ownership.
  • He should never engage in political, commercial, or worldly affairs outside the spiritual domain.

Interaction with Devotees & Disciples

  • The Pradhana Aacharya must always bless and guide devotees with kindness, patience, and wisdom.
  • He should never differentiate between devotees based on caste, status, or background.
  • He must maintain celibacy and avoid personal interactions with women in private settings.

Decision-Making Authority

  • The Pradhana Aacharya’s decisions regarding spiritual, ritualistic, and religious matters are final and binding.

He has the power to:

  • Appoint and dismiss priests, temple caretakers, and spiritual instructors.
  • Approve temple constructions, sanctifications, and Prana Pratishta (idol installation).
  • Prescribe ritual procedures, festival observances, and yagnas.
  • He must convene with the Board of Trustees for matters beyond spiritual jurisdiction (e.g., legal, financial, property management).
  • In cases of conflicts, his spiritual guidance shall be considered supreme, but legal compliance must be ensured.

Accountability & Disciplinary Actions

  • The Pradhana Aacharya must always remain aligned with dharmic principles.
  • Any deviation from prescribed spiritual or ethical conduct may result in a council review.
  • In extreme cases of misconduct, financial mismanagement, or violation of ascetic principles, the Board of Trustees and senior saints shall conduct an inquiry.
  • If found guilty, he may be asked to resign or be relieved of his duties with appropriate respect.

Succession & Retirement

  • The Pradhana Aacharya shall nominate a successor before retirement, ensuring continuity of leadership.
  • The successor must be trained in Vedic scriptures, meditation, and dharmic governance.
  • The Board of Trustees and senior scholars must ratify the successor’s appointment.
  • The outgoing Pradhana Aacharya may choose to continue as a spiritual guide or enter complete renunciation.

Amendments:

These regulations may be amended by an 80% majority vote of the Board of Trustees, in consultation with the Pradhana Aacharya.
